Sample of Original Recorded Music
Peter Schey has played music since his teenage years. His first band, The Cruisers, was formed when he was 14 years old living in South Africa. During his law school years in California, Schey recorded for an original song for RCA records and had a band "Up Against the Skies" with singer Marilyn Montgomery. The band played clubs in Del Mar and San Diego until Schey got diverted into passing the California bar exam and becoming a full-time civil rights lawyer. Below are two links to songs Schey wrote and recorded after moving to Los Angeles. Living in LA was inspired by marginalized communities in Los Angeles that nevertheless strive to get by day by day and sweeps through the city observing its challenges and beauty. The second song, Her Stories, is about a love that seems lost forever, but rebounds when least expected.
